Where to start! One night late I was trying to fix an old hard drive that I use for Time Machine. The drive went on the fritz and I need my backed up data. So I was working transferring it to another hard drive while it was still able to at least run this took 3 hours; an old IDE external. And this is when my problem happened. I needed to format the drive I was working on just to make sure nothing was there when I trashed it but doing the NSA erase took a while.. Well after it finished I did a test and found out that it was the external PCB and not the actual hard drive. YAY! Well I re formatted it to MAC OS extended Journal that way I’m already set up to use the time machine. Once I pressed the format button I realized that it was my other external drive that I was now deleting all my good info away SAD SAD SAD. I said about 100 curse words and cried about a half hour.. This drive had about 40 thousand photos and upwards to 37 thousand songs. So I started to search software and companies such as DATA SAVERS which wanted 1700 bucks to get my data.. I then called apple and the tech recommended that I should try data rescue 3, I downloaded the demo and found every bit of everything I had saved to the drive. Even stuff I thought I delete long time ago. Needless to say 16 hours later I have all of my data and then some!!! PROSOFT YOU ROCK .. Thanks so much for your software. USAF Fueling the Force POL
